We had an amazing time filming Kelly and Jeff’s Door County wedding day. From beginning to end, the day was full of laughter and fun! After running through some post-ceremony bubbles, Kelly and Jeff jumped on the Door County trolley and headed off to explore Cave Point. Horseshoe Bay Golf Club had an amazing view of the sunset, which provided a beautiful backdrop for the toasts.
Steven’s family owns Leon’s Frozen Custard in Milwaukee, which is where he and Nichole first met. Years later, these two celebrated their wedding day with a visit to the place where it all started. Before the ceremony, Nichole got ready at The Brewhouse Suites and opened presents from her groom to be. Steven started his day with a visit to Blue’s Egg for a delicious breakfast among friends. After getting dressed and reading a card from his future bride, Steven traveled to the church, excited to see Nichole walk towards him down the aisle.
Clarissa and Dave held their wedding ceremony and reception at the Stone Harbor Resort in Door County. The couple woke up to a very windy wedding day, but that didn’t stop them from having an amazing time. Clarissa’s grandpa officiated the ceremony and at the end of the ceremony, the couple was surprised with a butterfly release. Each member of the bridal party was roasted as he or she entered the reception, but the bridesmaids got their revenge later with their advice for Dave during the speeches. After the cake cutting and first dances, guests hit the dance floor before heading outside to light Chinese Lanterns.
Kelly definitely had a fun time getting ready for her wedding day. After taking the dress for a spin and jumping on the bed, the bridesmaids entertained Kelly while she got her hair done. Jeff enjoyed a more low key morning getting ready before meeting Kelly around a corner to exchange cards. Kelly’s dog Pete, who looked absolutely dashing in his bow tie, arrived for a quick visit before heading off to the church.
Melissa started her day with a fantastic view of Milwaukee at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino before heading off to The Basilica of St. Josaphat to get married. After exchanging their vows and rings in the stunning church, the couple took photos around Milwaukee. Melissa and Eric were greeted with an abundance of applause when they entered their reception at the Italian Community Center. Guests had a blast dancing and partaking in the whiskey and cigar bar. Near the end of the reception, guests released Chinese Lanterns into the night sky.
Irem and Arron’s wedding took place at the Monona Terrace in Madison. The couple incorporated several Turkish traditions into their wedding day and had some family travel all the way from Turkey for their wedding celebration! One Turkish tradition they included was the fetching of the bride. Before leaving her home for the ceremony, a “Maidenhood Belt” was tied around Irem’s waist by her brother. Before the bride and groom could be on their way, the doorway was blocked by Irem’s sister, who required some monetary convincing to let the bride leave. During the reception, there was also the pinning of gold and money on the bride and groom. We had a great time learning about these traditions and filming Irem and Arron’s beautiful wedding day.
Alicia and Jeff’s wedding day was so laid back and full of love. Lake Geneva was teeming with activity on this busy holiday weekend. A close friend of the couple officiated the ceremony and the couple’s dog made a wonderful ring bearer! The Grand Belle was the perfect place for this group to hold the reception. Jeff even surprised Alicia with a choreographed groomsmen dance to the Backstreet Boys.
