We absolutely love spending the morning with the bride and groom as they get ready for their wedding day. We get to hear so many cute stories that we otherwise wouldn’t know about. After Danielle finished writing her letter to Ryan, she received a text from her excited fiancé with a countdown, down to the minute, to the ceremony. While Ryan and his groomsmen were helping each other with ties and french cuffs, Danielle was off to the church to get dressed. Danielle’s wedding dress was chosen just one month before the wedding and was absolutely stunning. Ryan didn’t see his bride before her walk down the aisle, but when Danielle’s father got a look he couldn’t stop smiling. After the bride and groom exchanged cards and shared a quiet moment together, the wait was over! The church doors opened and Danielle made her way to her future husband.

Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your wedding preparations Danielle and Ryan!

Kimberly and Ryan’s winter wedding day was absolutely beautiful. Wisconsin sparkled with freshly fallen snow just in time for Kimberly’s dream of a white wedding day. There’s nothing like a fresh coat of snow on the ground to make everything seem just a little more magical. The day started with both Kimberly and Ryan sending handwritten letters to each other before the ceremony began. We love this tradition. Reading the letter makes each person just beam with love and anticipation. It’s also a great reminder to slow down and take it all in. After Kimberly and Ryan exchanged vows, the entire wedding party ventured outside to play in the snow before warming up at the Tundra Lodge reception in Green Bay, WI.

Congratulations again Kimberly and Ryan!

Katelyn and Jeffrey’s love story began at Homecoming during their sophomore year of high school. Almost 12 years later, they celebrated their wedding day with friends and family in Thorp, Wisconsin. The Thunderbolt even dressed up for the special occasion! At the reception, the Matron of Honor read everyone a personalized poem and the best man entertained guests with a few well placed sound effects.

Congratulations again Katelyn and Jeffrey!

We love it when couples write their own vows. It adds a part of their personality to the wedding day and gives them a chance to tell the other exactly how they feel. Heather and Greg did just this during their wedding ceremony. Before the ceremony, even the flower girl helped Heather get ready for her walk down the aisle. After a few post-ceremony pictures, everyone headed off to the reception where many family and friends shared their well wishes to the new bride and groom, then rocked out with some inflatable guitars!

Congratulations Heather and Greg!

Danielle and Ryan were married this February in a beautiful Wisconsin winter wedding. As they exited the ceremony, there was a surprise horse and carriage awaiting these two to take them to the park for some pictures! The bridal party stayed warm with their boots and custom mittens and everyone prepared for the wedding reception by practicing Ryan’s famous dance move.

Congratulations Danielle and Ryan!

There’s nothing like cake pops and wine to put a smile on my face. Luckily there were both involved on this awesome styled shoot! This last Fall, I was fortunate enough to be invited to participate in this rustic elopement wedding inspiration shoot. As I arrived, my eyes were immediately drawn to the wedding cake artfully setup next to the pond. As the day progressed, we made our way to some really amazing setups, including a beautiful ceremony arch, a secluded dinner scene, and a romantic campfire in the woods. Every detail was so cozy yet glamorous and would fit so well into a Fall wedding day in Wisconsin. I had so much fun working alongside a very talented group of vendors and the day couldn’t have gone better. We all had such a great time on this shoot and I am happy to bring you the video.

We worked alongside James & Katie Stokes of James Stokes Photography.
